In order to develop new outsourcing services for the life insurance industry, Accenture would be buying insurance software firm NaviSys. The company plans to challenge Computer Sciences which is the market leader. The deal would be completed in the next sixty days. The price of the deal was not disclosed.
It is expected that the entry of Accenture along with other companies such as Perot Systems and IBM would give a competition to the market leader.

There are going to be three or four business process outsourcing providers in the life insurance industry, creating more of a market in this area. The whole pie will grow, but Computer Sciences’ slice of it will be smaller.
