According to a study 41 per cent of working-age US citizen having moderate or middle incomes are lacking health insurance. Shockingly, this statistics stood at 28 per cent in the year 2001. If translated into words there is a rise of 13 per cent just within five years among people of the said category who are not covered under health insurance.



The careless attitude of the Americans towards health insurance can be judged with the fact almost half uninsured adults are facing intense difficulty to pay their medical bills. These people are more prone to not to have regular recommended health check up and they don’t have a regular doctor as well.



As it is clearly visible that there is a growing insurance crisis which deepening day by day with those of moderate incomes. The downward trend suggests that possibly the plans which are being offered to them are too expensive for them. It is interesting to remind that 45.8 million US citizen were without coverage of health insurance in the year 2004.
