As per a study it has been found out that Britons on average save more than 7,500 pounds and these results are opposite of what was being said that Britons don’t save enough. An average Briton saves around 7,548 pounds in cash which is sufficient for surviving 167 rainy days.
Birmingham Midshires which conducted the survey busted the myth that an average Briton was not saving enough. Customers are generally advised to save around three months of their salary for unforeseen circumstances.
But these findings contradict the fact that Britain is already suffering from a 27 billion pound annual savings gap. The savings gap represent the shortfall between what people should save and what they are saving actually.
I believe that the government should step in and take appropriate measures in order to counter this situation otherwise it would become difficult to handle it later.
