The state executive director for the Farm Service Agency has announced that around 105 counties in Missouri will have disaster loans available because of the continuing drought in the region. The region also includes Livingston.

The applications for the loans will be accepted at the county office of the Farm Service Agency. The application for production and physical loss can be submitted at 1100 Morton Parkway in Chillicothe. The applications can be submitted through June 11, 2007. All the loans are being provided on a county wide basis. Only those people who have experienced a loss of more than 30% would qualify for the loan.

it is expected that there would only be 25 producers who would qualify for this loan. It is believed that producers hardest hit by the drought will have had crops in the southwest part of the county, which received little rain this growing season.
