As per a study by Bankrate.com the price of a home in the Buffalo might rank among the lowest in the U.S. but the closing cost of a sale is the highest. It compared the closing costs in all fifty states and Washington D.C. The researchers picked up a ZIP code in the biggest city in every state and asked for information on the closing costs for a $200,000 loan.



As per the survey closing costs in Buffalo had total average fees of $3,887 which was 28.5% higher as compared to the national average of $3,024. Missouri had the lowest mortgage closing costs at $2,713, or $1,174 which was lower than the Buffalo area. The survey found out that there were major differences under title and closing fees in Buffalo as compared to the national average.
