An Indian call center employee has been accused of purchasing luxury goods worth $4500 using credit cards of clients from US. This incident happened in a call center in Kolkota and she misused the details for buying white goods and designer clothes from a U.S. website.



It’s pretty simple. The details of the sixteen digit credit card number flash on the employees screen along wit\h the name of the person and expiry date and this information is enough to misuse the details of the client.



This has certainly dented the credibility of the Indian company and it is having a tough time explaining to its client as to how this happened. The management thought that it had taken all the possible precautions but it was wrong and now stringent actions would be required for making it foolproof.



The company is in the process of strengthening its security whereas the employee is cooling her heals in the lock up.
