ATM frauds are on a high and believe me it is very easy to be cautious rather than bang your heads after your money has been swiped off. Visa International’s head of fraud management for sub-Saharan Africa, Neil Hawkey, gives you four areas where you need to be cautious of the fraud:

1. You need to be careful of drawing money at the dark of the night when there is a greater chance of your ATM card getting stolen or robbed at the counters.

2. Do not withdraw your money in isolated ATM counters.

3. It is better to memorize your PIN number rather than carrying it in your pockets.

4. Take help from your bank in case of emergency in ATM rather than taking financial help from a stranger
