President George W. Bush stated that he would like to index benefits for wealthier Americans during his last two years at office. He stated that he still wanted that workers had an option for putting some of their retirement savings in their private accounts which was not liked by many .He also wants to overhaul the social security.
In an interview to CNBC TV, Bush stated:
I want to deal with the unfunded liabilities inherent in Social Security and Medicare. I believe we can do that and at the same time assure those who are on Social Security they have nothing to worry about and those who are going to pay into Social Security that you don’t pay into a bankrupt system
He stated that this was possible and assured that people on social security need not to worry and those who are paying into social security are not paying into a bankrupt system. Let’s see how far Democrats let Bush fulfill his dreams.
