The Federal Trade commission says that almost 9.3 million individuals are being victimized by ID theft. According to Justice Department around 3.6 million households have been victimized by this crime. Now the prominent issue involves around the insurance against ID theft.



Since people are anxious about identity theft they are turning towards insurance companies for relief. But the fact is the insurance companies extend only limited benefits to their customers. Though their cost seems to be reasonable but according to analysts the insurance is not worth.



Usually companies take care of the expenses which have been spent to deal with the problem not the damage.



However, American Express does it for free. It helps the victim to navigate the recovery process and protection in the future.
