You though that paying with plastic each time was a bit risky? Not now. Soon we would be seeing a new law which would offer protection to people using credit cards for transactions. The new law is known as the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act. A number of businesses have started obeying the law by displaying just the last four digits of your credit card.
The law requires that updation on all machines must be done by July 1, 2008 but bigger companies such as Mastercard and Visa have imposed aggressive deadlines. So the nest time you get your receipt you won’t find your complete credit card number information on it and this would minimize the risk of your card information being stolen and misused.
