Up till now you used credit cards for making payments online but this trend is set to change altogether. As per figures in the year 2000, in ninety percent of the cases credit cards were used for making online payments but come 2009 and the figures would drop to less than half.
This would result due to availability of alternative payment options which would cheaper when compared with credit cards. Also there is always a fear lingering on the minds of the people that their credit card information might be misused.
Now people are opting for a number of online payment options available such as PayPal and Bill Me Later which are cheaper when compared with transacting with credit cards and also do not ask for your personal information.
