Union Government in an attempt to complete the study conducted by UNESCAP (United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific) to generate more savings for the infrastructural development in Asia, is pooling in funds and financial experts. The UNESCAP has already come up with its analysis on the matter and suggests investing in bonds to divert the savings for infrastructural development in Asia. India’s contribution would be an interest slab of 7 to8 percent on bonds to attract Japanese investors who do not get a very good interest rate in their country.

India is getting Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations (ICRIER) and the Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS) to come up with more suggestions and proposals on financing for the infrastructure of Asian Region.
